We’re an informal group of primary educators.

We support each other with climate education and action in primary schools.

The group meets once every 2 months in North Tyneside. The host school changes for each meeting.

We are creating a bank of resources and tools, open to any teacher to use. They’ll be hosted on this page in 2023.

Join the CCT

I hereby pledge to gather with my fellow educators,

to consume sugar and caffeine,

and to share ideas on doing creative, hopeful work with children around climate change.

Who runs it?

Hi there! I’m Ellie and I partner with Threads to run the CCT group.

I teach reception at Rockcliffe First School where I am the school eco / sustainability lead.

The CCT is very informal, friendly, and useful. If you want to be doing more postive, hopeful, impactful climate work with your children, please get in touch or come along!

WE MADE A READING LIST

We want to help primary teachers to thread climate literacy through all aspects of the curriculum. We have curated this book list to be inspiring, inclusive, and beautiful. We invite you to use them, as the expert teacher you are, to begin connecting day-to-day lessons with climate change ideas and action.
